Dr Frucht Systems Ltd (DFSL) started its operation in 1997. DFSL focuses its activities on high performance Homeland Security (HLS) products for Virtual Fencing. The Virtual Fencing is developed and manufactured in house with Laser Radars (LIDARs), Seismic Systems and RF solutions. The company’s core business is the LIDAR based products. DFSL’s products are already installed in various air- ports, power stations, correctional facilities and sensitive civilian and military sites. DFSL is also active in R&D activities in the field of aeroballistics and systems engineering projects. Among others, DFSL has developed Flying Hunter, a novel, state-of-the-art, green, robotic method for neutralisation of RPAS/Mini-Drones, which can be integrated in HLS systems. In addition, DFSL also developed 2 other drone-based solutions – Flying Watcher and Flying Path Finder – for detection activities.
Role in the project
DFSL will bring its technology and products for detection of human and vehicle intrusion, using Perimeter Laser Sensor (PLS) and Laser Fence Sensor (LFS). It will also bring 3-dimnsional mini drone detector (3D MND) for detection of aerial threats from drones. Coordinates of intrusions (land based and aerial threats) will be integrated with the project platform. DFSL will also bring its Flying Hunter (FH) for neutralisation of intruding drones. All components will achieve TRL of 8.
Detection of ground based and aerial intruders
Will detect ground-based intrusions by humans and vehicles, and aerial intrusions by drones. Technology Readiness Level that will be achieved will be TRL 8. The sensors will be further improved by undertaking adaptation to specific needs of the project in coordination with other sensors, components, and decision-making tools.
UAV neutralisation mechanism
Specially designed, developed and assembled drone, Flying Hunter (FH), will be used to neutralise the intruding mini-drone by green and robotic method – by catching it in its net and bringing it to the ground at pre-designated location. Technology Readiness Level that will be achieved will be TRL 8. The FH will be further improved by undertaking adaptation to specific needs of the project in coordination with other sensors, components, and decision-making tools.
